Last night Alan Ives General Manager and Steve McNulty Head of Sales had the honour on behalf of SGC Security services to collect our renewed Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award, an award that we have proudly maintained since 2010.
The award once again recognises the commitment by SGC Security Services to support armed forces personnel whether they are currently serving as Reservists or as veterans.
We received our award from His Majesty’s Lord – Lieutenant at the home of Lord Salisbury at Hatfield House in the Old Palace a place great historical significance.
A proud moment for two ex-serving members of the Armed Forces to receive this award on behalf of SGC Security Services and renew our commitment to assisting those that have or still give so much.
If you are recruiting always consider ex forces personnel they have so many transferable skills and come equipped with an attitude to get things done whilst at work something is lacking in todays workforce on many occasions.
About the scheme
The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same. The scheme encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
The ERS is designed primarily to recognise private sector support although public sector organisations such as the emergency services, local authorities, NHS trusts and executive agencies are also eligible to be recognised.
