One of the proudest ways we have demonstrated this commitment is through our ongoing sponsorship and support of The Martial Arts Centre in Braintree.
In February 2022, SGC Security Services entered into a partnership with The Martial Arts Centre, with the goal of helping athletes pursue their passion for martial arts while reducing the financial barriers they face. Our sponsorship has focused on two primary areas: supporting the athletes’ participation in major competitions and contributing to the growth and development of The Centre itself.
Since the outset of our partnership, we have provided crucial funding to assist with travel costs, kit, and accommodation for The Centre’s athletes attending tournaments. This financial support ensures that athletes can focus on their training and performance without being burdened by the high costs associated with traveling and competing.
In 2022, the funding enabled The Martial Arts Centre to send athletes to prestigious competitions, including the WUMA World Kickboxing Championships in Argos, Greece, and various other UK and international venues. The athletes were provided with essential competition kits, extra tracksuits, and travel assistance, which allowed them to compete at the highest level while keeping costs as low as possible for the athletes and their families.
This initiative continued in 2023, with the sponsorship once again contributing to the participation of athletes in tournaments across the globe, including major competitions in Florida, Greece, and the UK, representing both Karate and Kickboxing.
In March 2023, SGC Security Services expanded its support to include the physical growth of The Martial Arts Centre. We played a pivotal role in the Centre’s move to new premises in Braintree by providing the necessary funds for the relocation and refurbishment process.
