Description
SGC Security Services is seeking licensed DS/SO Security Officers to join a team working on an energy construction site in Redcar.
The role involves 12-hour shifts, alternating between day (06:00–18:00) and night (18:00–06:00) on a 4-on/4-off rotation. Officers will control site access for visitors and construction traffic, as well as patrol the site perimeter using an electric vehicle to maintain security and ensure compliance with site rules.
Candidates must be over 25 years old, hold a full UK driving licence with at least one year of driving experience, and be able to commute or relocate to Redcar.
Skills and Experience
Valid DS/SG SIA licence.
Full UK driving licence (over 25 years old, no more than 6 points, at least 12 months driving experience)
Experience in security, security patrols, or related roles preferred
Excellent communication, report writing, and radio skills
Professional, polite, assertive, and able to remain calm under pressure
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow procedures accurately.
Duties/Responsibilities
Duty 1: Control entry/exit of people and vehicles, book individuals and vehicles in/out, liaise with site manager, complete daily patrol reports and incident forms, operate barrier systems
Duty 2: Patrol site perimeter to maintain integrity, monitor vehicle speeds, assist at the gate during peak times, complete electronic patrol forms
Maintain high standards of security and adherence to site rules
Communicate effectively with site personnel, visitors, and contractors.

Flexible role requiring alternating day and night shifts
Officers rotate between entry control and perimeter patrol duties during each 12-hour shift
On-site position requiring professionalism and interaction with site personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers
Experience in security roles preferred
Must hold a valid DS/SG SIA licence.
