Southampton Hospitals Charity and SGC Partnership

SGC Security Services Partner with Southampton Hospitals Charity to Support Patient Experience and Community Impact

SGC Security Services are excited to announce our new partnership with Southampton Hospitals Charity, supporting its vital work to enhance care, experience and wellbeing for patients, families and staff at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.

The partnership forms part of SGC’s wider commitment to the Trust and the communities it serves, alongside the recent start of its security services delivery at the hospital. It reflects a shared focus on social value, community engagement and making a meaningful contribution beyond core service provision.

Simon Anderson, Commercial Director of SGC Security Services, said:

“This partnership reflects our long-term commitment to social value and to being an active part of the communities we serve. I look forward to seeing our SGC team members getting involved and supporting initiatives that make a real difference to patients, families and staff.”

Through this collaboration, SGC will support a range of fundraising, volunteering and awareness initiatives led by the charity. These activities play an important role in delivering projects that improve patient environments, support families and create additional opportunities to enhance the overall hospital experience.

A central part of the partnership will be colleague engagement. SGC are committed to encouraging involvement from teams across the organisation, creating opportunities for individuals at all levels to take part in events and initiatives that support the charity’s work. This approach reinforces the organisation’s belief that social value is best delivered through collective effort and shared purpose.

Vicky O’Flaherty, Senior Philanthropy Officer at Southampton Hospital Charities, said:

“We are delighted to be working together with SGC Security Services to raise funds to support areas of the hospital service that go beyond what the NHS budgets can cover. We can’t wait to get planning some exciting events and activities for the team to take part in”.

With extensive experience in healthcare environments, SGC recognise the important role charitable funding plays within the NHS, helping to deliver improvements and added value that directly benefit patients and those who support them.

Megan Pyatt, Marketing Executive and Social Value Champion at SGC Security Services, said:

“We are really looking forward to working with Southampton Hospital Charities and supporting the incredible work they deliver every day.

This partnership gives us the opportunity to bring our colleagues together through fundraising, volunteering and awareness activities, helping to make a positive impact for patients, families and staff across the hospital.”

This partnership highlights SGC’s continued commitment to supporting the wider objectives of the NHS, contributing to positive patient experience and strengthening community connections through meaningful collaboration.
