Description
SGC Security Services is looking to recruit professional and experienced Door Supervisor (DS) Licensed Security Officers to join our dedicated team at NHS sites in the Kettering and Northampton area.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy NHS environment where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property. Due to the nature of the contract, applicants must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence and have previous experience working within an NHS or healthcare environment.
We’re looking for individuals who are confident, approachable, professional, and able to remain calm under pressure while delivering an exceptional level of customer service.
Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Previous security experience.
- Previous experience working within an NHS or healthcare environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident dealing with members of the public in a professional manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out patrols and manual handling duties where required.
- Flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular internal and external patrols using the site patrol management system.
- Maintain the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property.
- Monitor the site for fire risks and report any hazards immediately.
- Conduct searches of individuals or vehicles when required in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete accurate incident reports, occurrence logs, and site documentation.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents in line with hospital procedures.
- Liaise with hospital staff, visitors, emergency services, and the SGC Security Portfolio Manager.
- Provide a professional, courteous, and customer-focused security presence at all times.
- Ensure company policies, site instructions, and Health & Safety legislation are always followed.
- Wear company uniform and maintain high standards of personal presentation.
- Attend mandatory training to ensure knowledge and compliance remain up to date.
Working Pattern
- 12-hour shifts.
- 4 on, 4 off rota.
- Day and night shifts available.
