SGC Security Services are looking forward to welcoming an Accounts Clerk to the Finance Department. The successful candidate must have previous experience working within a finance function, ideally in Sales and/or Purchase Ledger roles. Have excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy.

This role is based at our local office in Sible Hedingham (Essex), where you will report to the Finance Manager.

Salary: £23,000 – £27,000 per annum

Full-time: Monday – Friday

Job Role:

  • Purchase and sales ledger, raising and entering invoices.
  • Processing sales orders and purchase orders.
  • Monitoring outstanding payments and proactively chasing overdue debt.
  • Processing Receipts/Expenses.
  • Bank reconciliations and general ledger.
  • All other day-to-day accounts/office duties e.g. maintaining accurate files and entering data in a timely fashion including any adhoc duties.

 

Person required:

  • A friendly, grounded and trustworthy individual.
  • Ability to maintain good strong relationships with staff and other external parties through excellent communication via telephone and email.
  • Ability to learn efficiently new processes and procedures.
  • Organised and able to deliver work timely, efficiently, accurately and at a high standard.

 

Experience and Skills Required:

  • At least 2 years accounts/finance experience.
  • Experience with Xero Accounting is essential.
  • Proficient with outlook & Excel.
  • Experience working in the Security sector is not essential but would be an advantage.
