SGC Security Services are currently recruiting Ad-hoc DS Officers to join our Emergency Relief Team covering sites across the Southern Region.
This is an Ad-hoc position providing emergency cover across a variety of rural and urban sites. Due to the nature of the role, officers must have access to their own vehicle and be willing to travel up to 40 miles from their home address.
About the Role
When an Emergency Relief request is received, available officers will be contacted and allocated to the relevant site along with shift details. Once deployed, officers will remain on that site until notified that the assignment has ended. After stand-down, officers may choose to move to another active site or return to the on-call list if the next site is beyond reasonable travel distance.
Key Responsibilities
- Minimum age: 18+
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) Licence (required)
- Control access and ensure only authorised personnel enter site
- Support and exceed safety, security, and service expectations for clients, visitors, the public, and property
- Conduct regular foot patrols and external checks in line with site instructions using our patrol management system
- Record all activity accurately and maintain required logs, records, and reports using our digital reporting platform
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety legislation
- Demonstrate professionalism—friendly, polite, and flexible at all times
- Undertake mandatory training as required
- Carry out 12-hour day and night shifts
