Join SGC Security Services as a DS Licensed Manager / Agency Representative and play a vital role in delivering exceptional crowd safety and event security at some of the UK’s most exciting venues. Whether it’s premier league football, music festivals, concerts, or world-class sporting events, you’ll help create a secure, vibrant atmosphere for attendees and staff alike. Duties / Responsibilities
- Part-time, seasonal role; events often evenings and weekends
- Flexible travel to venues across the UK
- Deliver post-event debriefs and ensure continuous improvement
- Report to Head of Crowd Safety and Events
- Act as primary point of contact for team members on event days
- Deliver events alongside clients, events management, and operations teams
- Attend ELTs with clients and stakeholders
- Act as lead manager for larger events, working alongside Event Silver Command in the control room
- Collaborate with the crowd management team to ensure safety plans are followed
- Oversee team welfare, motivation, and support
- Ensure accurate reporting and recording of incidents, patrols, and interventions
- Deliver high-visibility security and excellent customer service
- Conduct pre- and post-event safety checks
- Greet, assist, and direct event attendees
- Prevent prohibited items from entering secure zones
- Monitor crowd behaviour and respond to incidents
- Report and manage emergencies
- Ticket checking and asset protection
- Supervise and support your security team
- Carry out entry point security searches
Skills and Experience
- Minimum age: 18+
- Valid Door Supervisor (DS) licence (required)
- Experience in Head of Security, Area, or Operations Manager roles
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Flexible availability, especially weekends and evenings
- Professional, reliable, and able to exercise sound judgement
- Strong leadership and people management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Capable of interacting with VIPs and senior management
- Checkable work and personal history
- Knowledge of the events industry
- Level 3 Spectator Safety qualification (or willingness to complete; training provided)
- First Aid Certificate; ACT, Ask Angela, and Drink Spiking certifications (training links available)
