Are you a professional Door Supervisor (DS) licence holder looking for a new opportunity in healthcare security? We are seeking dedicated Security Officers to join our team. This vital role involves safeguarding NHS staff, patients, and visitors, ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Conduct high visibility internal and external patrols to maintain hospital security
  • Manage access control, including locking and unlocking buildings
  • Respond to and manage incidents involving violence and aggression
  • Provide a visible, approachable presence for NHS staff, the public, and vulnerable patients
  • Write accurate reports and maintain digital site records
  • Support fire safety and emergency procedures as required
  • Uphold SGC Security Services’ professional standards and client service
  • Perform additional security duties as required by the contract

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum age: 18+
  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) Licence (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of security experience (hospital or public sector preferred)
  • Enhanced DBS (EDBS) check (required)
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Physically fit for regular foot patrols and long periods of standing
  • Polite, well-presented, well-spoken, friendly, and assertive
  • Ability to show empathy and patience, especially with vulnerable adults
  • Welsh language skills preferred but not essential
  • Access to own vehicle (required)
  • Experience in: Security, Customer Service, NHS settings, Guarding, Patrol, Access Control, Door Supervision, Fire Warden duties

Additional

  • Schedule: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour day and night shifts
  • Employment type: Full-time, Zero hours contract
  • Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to North Wales before starting work
  • Door Supervisor Badge (required)
  • Immediate start available
